Rules and Regulations

General
  1. Nothing Is Impossible 2021 (the “Event”) is owned by SHINE Children and Youth Services (the "Event Owner") and organised by PICH Event Management Pte Ltd (the "Event Organiser"). These rules and regulations (the "Regulations"), which can be found at www.nothingisimpossible.sg (the "Official Website"), apply to all persons participating in the Virtual Event.
  2. By submitting the application to participate in the Virtual Event, the person named in the online form (the “Participant”) acknowledges that he/she has read these Regulations, and confirms his/her agreement and acceptance to abide by and comply with these Regulations. The Event Owner and the Event Organiser reserve the right to vary, amend, delete or add to any of these Regulations, at any time, in its sole and absolute discretion without prior notice.
  3. By submitting the application, the Participant also gives the Event Owner, the Event Organiser and the relevant business partners and agents permission to collect, use, disclose and process his/her personal data
    1. for purposes reasonably required for the organising and conducting of the Virtual Event; and
    2. to contact the Participant to promote and market the Virtual Event and future events organized or held by the Event Owner and/or Event Organiser; or available on request and which the Participant is deemed to have read and understood through his/her submission of the application.
  4. The Event Owner reserves the right to use any photographs, videos, motion pictures, images, recordings, or any other recording of the Event and its Participants for any commercial advertising and other promotional purposes linked to the Virtual Event or any future events organised or held by the Event Owner.
  5. The Event Owner and the Event Organiser reserve the right to modify any of these Regulations from time to time as each of them may deem fit. If there is ambiguity in any of these provisions, the Event Owner and Event Organiser shall be the sole authority to interpret them – and in so doing, they may (but is not obliged to) take into account the interests of all affected Participants. Participants will be notified of any amendments to these Regulations on the Official Website, and their continued participation in the Virtual Event shall be deemed as the Participants’ acceptance and agreement to the revised Regulations.
  6. To the greatest extent permitted by the law, the Event Owner & Event Organiser shall not be liable for any bodily injuries, loss and/or damage to property, whether personal or otherwise, and howsoever arising.
  7. The Event Owner and Event Organiser reserve the right to cancel or change any details of the Event or any component of it at any time without prior notice to Participants. Every reasonable effort will be made to inform Participants of changes prior to the date of the Event. The Event Owner and the Event Organiser shall not be liable for any consequential loss or inconvenience arising from any cancellation or change of any details of the Event or any component thereof. All donations received will still be directed to SHINE Children and Youth Services.
Registration and Eligibility
  1. The Participant agrees to:
    1. provide true, accurate, current and complete information about himself/herself in the registration form (the “Registration Data”) and
    2. maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to ensure that it remains true, accurate, current and complete.
    The Event Owner and/or the Event Organiser may contact the Participant from time to time by email and/or SMS and/or phone call in connection with the Virtual Event.
  2. If the Participant is under the age of 21, he/ she will need his/ her parent’s or guardian’s consent. Complete the indemnity section found on the online registration form. The completion of the indemnity form found on the Official Website shall constitute and be deemed as the Participant (who is under the age of 21) having obtained consent from his/her parent or legal guardian to participate in the Virtual Event.
  3. The Event Owner & Event Organiser reserve the rights to restrict, refuse and/or remove participation entries without explanation.
  4. The Event Owner & Event Organiser reserve the right to reject any challenges if submitted information are deemed to be unclear, incomplete or fraudulent. Rejected challenges will not be eligible to receive the event tokens.
  5. The Event Owner & Event Organiser will not be responsible for any contention arising from incomplete or wrong entries given by the participants.
  6. If you wish to amend your registration details, please email your request to nii@shine.org.sg. Deadline for all amendments is by 11 October 2021, 11:59pm. Please ensure that your request is duly acknowledged by SHINE Children and Youth Services.
Safety and Medical
  1. Participants are encouraged to consult their medical practitioners prior to registration and before participating in the Virtual Event.
  2. Participants are advised to take up their own personal or other insurance policies. No insurance will be provided by the Virtual Event.
Donation & Eligibility - Individual
  1. All monetary donations raised from this event will be directed to SHINE Children and Youth Services.
  2. All challenges can only receive donations between 25 June 2021, 12:00pm – 31 October 2021, 11:59pm (the Event Period)
  3. Donations can be made directly to an individual challenge.
  4. The following donation amount must be raised in order to be eligible for the event token:
    • The Supporter: Less than S$200
      • E-Certificate
    • The Achiever: From S$200 to S$999
      • E-Certificate
      • Event Face Mask
    • The Hero Achiever: More than S$1,000
      • E-Certificate
      • Event Apparel
      • Event Face Mask
  5. All tokens are non-transferrable, non-assignable, non-exchangeable, and not saleable for cash, credits or kind. The Organiser shall have the right to replace or substitute the tokens with an item of similar value.
  6. All tokens that remain unclaimed, for whatever reason, one month after the end of collection may be donated.
  7. All donations raised by participants who have withdrawn will still be directed to SHINE Children and Youth Services.
  8. All donations made to "Nothing Is Impossible 2021" are not refundable.
  9. SHINE Children and Youth Services is an Institution of Public Character (IPC) and all local donations qualify for 2.5 times tax deduction. Please ensure to provide your identification number (NRIC/FIN/UEN) for the tax deduction to be recorded.
  10. Donations from Nothing Is Impossible 2021 will be filed in your tax assessment for the Year of Assessment (YA) 2022.
  11. Tax deduction will be issued for donations of S$10 and above. The donation details will be provided directly to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) by SHINE and the tax deductions will be included automatically in your individual tax assessment, or where applicable, your corporate tax assessment for Year 2021. There will be no physical receipt issued. You may keep the email donation acknowledgment as reference for your donation.
  12. The e-Certificate will no longer be available for download on 17 December 2021 and the Event Organiser will not be required to provide you with the e-Certificate thereafter if you have not downloaded a copy by that date.
  13. Event Tokens will be delivered by 17 December 2021.
Donation & Eligibility - Team
  1. All monetary donations raised from this event will be directed to SHINE Children and Youth Services.
  2. All teams can only receive donations between 25 June 2021, 12:00pm – 31 October 2021, 11:59pm (the Event Period)
  3. Donations can be made directly to:
    1. Any member of the team
    2. Entire team
  4. Donation made to the entire team will be divided equally to each of the team members.
  5. Team Total refers to the sum of all the donations raised made towards the team and members of the team.
  6. Event token is granted based on total donation accumulated from
    1. Individual and;
    2. Donation made directly to the entire team (Donation made to a team will be equally divided and recorded accordingly to the respective individual challenge)
  7. The following donation amount must be raised in order to be eligible for the event token:
    • The Supporter: Less than S$200
      • E-Certificate
    • The Achiever: From S$200 to S$999
      • E-Certificate
      • Event Face Mask
    • The Hero Achiever: More than S$1,000
      • E-Certificate
      • Event Apparel
      • Event Face Mask
